If your Generac Power Systems Portable Generator engine won't start or runs roughly, there are several potential causes: * Ensure the Run/Stop switch is set to “RUN.” * Clean or replace the air cleaner if it's dirty. * Fill the fuel tank if it's out of gasoline or drain the tank and fill with fresh fuel if the gasoline is stale or contains water. * Connect the spark plug wire to the spark plug. * Replace the spark plug if it's bad. * If overchoking, open the choke fully and crank the engine. For issues like an excessively rich fuel mixture, a stuck intake valve, loss of engine compression, contact a Generac service facility. If the battery failed - replace it.
