Owner’s Manual for Generac PWRcell Battery 11
General Information
Blackstart
NOTE: Blackstart battery voltage must be 13V or greater
to power the system.
NOTE: T
he battery must be enabled to Blackstart. If the
battery is disabled, perform a manual enable. See
Manual Enable.
Blackstart allows the battery to power up a PWRcell
system
that is powered down and has no REbus sources
of power available.
See Figure 2-7.
To Blackstart, turn Battery Disconnect
(A) ON. LED (B) will light green if the battery last status
was enabled and the battery has sufficient charge.

fro
m the PWRcell PV Link and other sources.
Manual Enable
See Figure 2-7. If LED (B) lights solid red when the
Battery Disconnect switch is turned ON, the battery is
disabled.
PWRcell can be disabled if:
• Disabled by a user.
• A shutdown was performed.
• The battery reached a critically low state of charge
and no REbus voltage was present
•
No grid power was available during commissioning.
NOTE: To avoid the need for a manual enable, keep the
battery enabled, connected to REbus, and with Battery
Disconnect ON.
To perform a manual enable:
1. T
