5 Starting up the generator with battery*
*Only models with electrical startup, for manual startup models continue to
point 5-B on page 16.
1 Turn the gasoline shutoff valve to "ON".
2 Turn the choke lever outward (closed air position) this position enriches the
gasoline mix and makes startup easier.
It may not be necessary to use the choke if the engine was shut down recently and
is hot.
