Switching the XM Series UPS on / off on battery mode (cold start)
Before switching on the XM Series UPS, check that all the AC loads have been switched off.
The on / off switch on the front panel of the XM Series UPS is used to switch on and switch off
the XM Series UPS. This switch operates a low power control circuitry which in turn controls all
the high power circuitry.
CAUTION! Please note that this switch is not switching AC output or the high power
battery input circuit. Parts of the DC side circuit and output power when on main / utility
will still be alive even when the switch is in the off position. Hence, disconnect AC side
(input and output) before working on any circuits connected to the XM Series UPS
When XM Series UPS is connected to battery “LED on Battery” will glow.
When main power is switched on “LED Mains” will glow.
When backup switch is on “UPS ready LED” will glow.
CAUTION! When main is connected even though backup switch is off output power is
available at the output socket.
Indicators for normal operation.
When the XM Series UPS is operating normally and supplying AC loads mains on LED and UPS
ready LED will glow. In the event of erratic power (extreme high voltage or low voltage) mains
