on LED, UPS ready LED, on battery LED will glow. In case of mains failure UPS ready and on
battery LED will glow.
In case connected loads exceed the inverter rating of UPS trips when on battery. After approx: 5
seconds inverter will try to turn on (Auto reset function) automatically.
NOTE: When UPS trips on overload switch off few loads to ensure connected load is well
with in the rating to resume normal function.
UPS will give a alarm when battery runs low and it will switch off the inverter after approx: 3 to
4 minutes to prevent battery from deep discharge. Battery low LED on the UPS will glow.
During mains resumption UPS will automatically reset to normal function and charge the battery.
NOTE: For full recharging of battery UPS will take 8 to 12 Hrs.
No load draw (idle current)
When the on / off switch is turned on, all the circuitry inside the XM Series UPS becomes alive
and the AC output is made available. In this condition, even when no load is being supplied (or, if
a load is connected but has been switched off), the inverter draws a small amount of current from
the batteries to keep the circuitry alive and ready to deliver the required power on demand. This is
called the idle current or the no load draw. Hence, when the load is not required to be operated,
turn off the on / off switch on the XM Series UPS to prevent unnecessary current drain from the
battery.
