Before You Begin

load the manual file and/or driver file, contact
your authorized dealer for assistance.
Getting the Computer
Running
Installing the Battery Pack
Install the battery pack if it has not been
installed in your computer.
1. Locate the battery compartment on the
right side of the computer.
2. Slide the door lock toward the left to
unlock (
). Then slide the door latch
downward to open the door (
).
3. With the ribbon strip facing outward,
slide the battery pack all the way into
the slot.
4. Close the door. Make sure the door latch
clicks into place. Then, slide the door lock
toward the right.
Connecting to AC Power and
Starting Up
The first time you use your computer, use the
AC adapter.
1. Plug the DC cord of the AC adapter to the
power connector of the computer (
).
2. Plug the female end of the AC power cord
to the AC adapter and the male end to an
electrical outlet (
).
3. Pull loose the cover latch (
) and release
the clamp (
). Lift up the cover (
).
4. Press the power button (
) to start up.
5. The Power Indicator lights green. The
operating system such as Windows should
start.
Charging the Battery
To charge the battery, connect the AC adapter
to the computer and an electrical outlet. The
Battery Charge Indicator (
) on the computer
glows amber to indicate that charging is in
progress. When the battery is fully charged,
the Battery Charge Indicator glows green.
It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge
the battery when the computer is off, and
approximately 6 hours when the computer is
on.
