6-2-3 ConguringS/PDIFOut
The S/PDIF Out jack can transmit audio signals to an external decoder for decoding to get the best audio
quality.
1. Connecting a S/PDIF Out Cable:
ConnectaS/PDIFcoaxialcableoraS/PDIFopticalcable(eitherone)tothecorrespondingS/PDIFoutconnector
as shown below and an external decoder for transmitting the S/PDIF digital audio signals.
2.ConguringS/PDIFOut:
Step 1:
While in the operating system, right-click on the icon
inthenoticationareaandselectPlayback devices.
Step 2:
On the Playback tab, right-click on SPDIF Out, select
Set as Default Device, and then open the Properties
dialog box.
Step 3:
You can go to the Supported Formats tab to select the
formats to be decoded or the Advanced tab to select the
sample rate and bit depth.
