A. System Requirements

B. Installation
While in the operating system, insert the motherboard driver disk, go to Application Software\Install Application 1.
Software, and select Intel Small Business Advantage to install. After the installation is complete, we
recommend that you restart the system.
Launch the Intel Small Business Advantage console from Start\All Programs\Intel or right-click on the 2.
icon in the notication area.
The rst time you launch the Intel SBA console and want to change the settings, you are required to set 3.
a password. Follow the on-screen instructions to congure the password and three security questions in
sequence. Later when you want to make changes on the settings of the Intel SBA console, you must enter
the password again.
Software Monitor
Software Monitor detects and monitors security-related applications that are installed on the computer.
The user can dene which applications to monitor and how they want to be notied. You can easily
see the status of the security software being monitored. If a monitored application is disabled or
attacked, Software Monitor sends an alert to tell the user that something has occurred. (Currently
Software Monitor can monitor the following applications: Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, Kingsoft
Antivirus Software, McAfee Internet Security, McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection, McAfee Total
Protection, McAfee AntiVirus Plus, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton Internet Security, Norton
360 Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security, and Trend Micro Worry-Free. The supported applications
are subject to Intel SBA version.)
PC Health
The PC Health Center application lets the user quickly and easily schedule all maintenance tasks
to run outside business hours when the computer is not being used. The user can dene which
tasks to run and when to run them.
USB Blocker
Using the USB Blocker, the user can dene which categories of USB devices to block, and also
dene a white list of specic devices that are always allowed. The user can quickly and easily
dene which USB devices can connect to the computer.
Back Up and Restore
This function allows the user to launch the Microsoft Backup and Restore application from the Intel
SBA console. The user can schedule the backup to run outside of the regular business hours. If
the computer is turned off, Intel SBA will wake up the computer so that the backup can run. (The
computer must be plugged into a power source.)
Energy Saver
The Energy Saver application lets the user quickly and easily set a power schedule for the
computer.
C. Major Functions
If the message "A critical error occurred. If starting the computer does not solve the problem, please
reinstall Intel Small Business Advantage" appears when launching Intel SBA console (for example,
after you clear the CMOS), be sure to remove the Intel SBA application rst and reinstall it.
