DIFFICULT START-UP
No fuel in tank Refuelling
Filters, jets or carburettor dirty or
clogged.
Contact an Authorised Service
Centre.
Flat battery Recharge the battery (maximum
current 1/10 the capacity of the
battery itself), if necessary top up
with distilled water. In case of
emergency try starting up with an
auxiliary battery as described in the
chapter "USE." As a final step,
replace the battery with a new one.
IGNITION PROBLEMS
No spark from spark plug. Due to
the presence of high voltage, this
check should only be carried out by
an expert.
Check that the electrodes are
properly adjusted (0.7÷ 0.8 mm).
Check that the electrodes are
clean (clean with pure petrol and
metal brush or with emery cloth).
Check the spark plug insulator:
Replace the spark plug if the
insulator is cracked or broken. If
the spark plug is in good
conditions, contact an Authorised
Service Centre.
LACK OF COMPRESSION
Spark plug loose. Loose cylinder
head, worn piston retaining rings.
Contact an Authorised Service
Centre.
