Why am I losing grain heads and cut crop at the cutter bar of my GLEANER S67 Farm Equipment?
    • J
      Jack NelsonSep 17, 2025
To resolve loss of grain heads and cut crop at the cutter bar of your GLEANER Farm Equipment, lower the reel if it's not low enough. Lower the conveyor if the clearance is too high from the header bottom. Adjust the conveyor fingers to retract closer to the header bottom if they are retracting too early. Lower the header if cutting with the header is too high, cutting stalks too short for proper delivery. Increase the speed of the reel if the reel speed is too low. Position the reel closer to the header conveyor if the reel is incorrectly positioned on the reel arms. Replace conveyor flighting if the conveyor flights are worn.

What to do if front feeder chains are plugging in extreme conditions in GLEANER Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Alexandra HallSep 23, 2025
To address the problem of front feeder chains plugging in extreme conditions on your GLEANER Farm Equipment, remove every other center slat if the front feed chain is grabbing the crop but not releasing it to the rear feed chain.

How to remove foreign material from clean grain in GLEANER S67 Farm Equipment?
    • D
      Dorothy WelchNov 21, 2025
To address foreign material in clean grain of your GLEANER Farm Equipment, ensure the engine is running at the correct speed. Check for slipping separator, fan, or cleaning shoe drive belts, and replace any damaged belts, adjusting idlers as needed. Clean or reinstall the fan inlet screen if it's missing or plugged. Increase ground speed for more material intake, but only if there is insufficient material entering the cylinder. Ensure you're using the correct chaffer for the crop, and increase the fan choke setting if there's insufficient air blast. Adjust the sieve opening, considering increasing air first, and straighten any uneven louvers on the sieve or chaffer. Also, consider a finishing sieve and optimize concave settings and cylinder speeds to avoid over-threshing. Refer to remedies...

How to fix ragged and uneven cutting of crop in GLEANER S67?
    • K
      kathrynbrownNov 22, 2025
To resolve ragged and uneven cutting of crop with your GLEANER Farm Equipment, start by checking the combine's basic speed and header drives to ensure the cutting mechanism is operating at the recommended speed. Increase the reel speed if it's too slow for the ground speed, and lower the reel if it's too high. Adjust the reel position so the reel bats hold the grain leaning slightly into the sickle. Level the header and straighten or replace any bent or broken guards. Adjust the upper lips of the guards to be parallel to the lower shear edge and ensure the sickle tips lightly rest on the guards. Replace worn hold-down clips and adjust the wear plates to eliminate excessive looseness. Straighten or replace a bent or twisted sickle, and reduce ground speed if it's too fast. For flex cutter b...

How to prevent grain loss over the cleaning shoe in GLEANER S67?
    • D
      Daniel ClarkNov 24, 2025
To address grain loss over the cleaning shoe in your GLEANER Farm Equipment, start by ensuring the engine is running at the correct speed. Inspect the separator, fan, and cleaning shoe drive belts for slippage, replacing any damaged belts and adjusting idlers as necessary. Clean the fan inlet screen if it's plugged. If there is insufficient material entering the cylinder, increase ground speed. Clean the fan choke and fan if they are plugged. Increase the chaffer opening if it's insufficient, and consider that grain loss can be caused by too little or too much air volume. Wait for suitable harvest conditions if harvesting in damp freezing weather. Adjust the separator grate to #9 condition if the cleaning shoe is overloaded due to over threshing. Refer to remedies listed under MATERIAL LOD...

How to prevent guards from plugging on GLEANER S67 Farm Equipment?
    • E
      Eric BishopDec 1, 2025
To resolve guards plugging on your GLEANER Farm Equipment, adjust the sickle so the tips of the sickle sections rest lightly on the guards. Replace any missing or worn sickle sections and straighten or replace bent or broken guards. Refer to the Operator Manual for the best starting reel position and adjust the reel height, speed, and fore-aft position for even flow. Tilt the cutter bar up if it's tilted down too much. Straighten or replace a bent or twisted sickle assembly. Reduce ground speed if it's too fast. Check that skid pad splice brackets are not binding if skid pads are binding. Decrease ground pressure by increasing spring tension on flex arms where plugging is occurring. Move the selection to a higher cutting position if the flex header height is too low and clean dirt off the ...
