If your Globalsat GPS unit is not acquiring a GPS fix signal, try the following: First, verify that the green GPS status LED is flashing normally. Second, ensure the device has adequate battery power and recharge if necessary. Finally, if the GPS still cannot obtain a fix after 10 minutes, use the GPSinfo utility software to initiate a 'Cold Start' while ensuring the GPS has a clear view of the sky.
