FURNAC
E
Your motor home is heated through a duc

. The furnace is con

trolled by a thermostat
.
NOTE
: It is important to remember that al

though the furnace's heat source is LP gas, th
e
blower operates on 12-volt electricity
. DO NO
T
operate the furnace for prolonged period
s
without a 12-volt power source
. You coul
d
run down your RV battery
.
FURNACE IGNITION — When lighting the fur-
nace, you must be certain the LP gas tank's Servic
e
valve is OPEN and the furnace LP gas valve is com-
pletely open
.
Set your wall thermostat to the desired tempera-
ture
. If the furnace does not light within 15 seconds
,
return the thermostat to OFF and wait 2 minutes
.
The furnace should light after repeating the proce-
dure two or three times
.
NOTE
: If the furnace does not light after th
e
third attempt, turn the thermostat OFF o
r
close the furnace LP gas valve and contac
t
your GMC dealer
. DO NOT attempt to repai
r
or adjust the furnace yourself
.
CARE OF FURNACE — The furnace require
s
only routine cleaning
. Soot, which may form on
the inside of the combustion chamber, may b
e
removed with a vacuum sweeper
. Check the furnac
e
Inlet/Exhaust Cover (Figure 12) on the outside o
f
the unit periodically to be certain it is free of object
s
which might block the openings
.
NOTE
: Portable fuel-burning heating appliance
s
should not be used for comfort heating in th
e
living area of your Jimmy unit
.
VACUUM SWEEPE
R
The vacuum sweeper is a 120-volt appliance
. T
o
use,
lift
the inlet lid and connect the hose
. Th
e
system automatically activates when the lid is lifted
,
and turns off when the lid is closed
.
FOOD CENTER BLENDE
R
The optional food center blender operates o
n
120-volt electricity
. It consists of a power unit
,
six-speed control and blender
.
Place the blender into the blender receptacle
.
Turn clockwise to lock into place
. Place food int

the blender
. NEVER operate the blender unless th
e
lid is firmly in place
. Turn the control dial to th
e
desired speed
.
