Usage Features
LCD Display:
The LCD panel shows various indicators including wireless channel, group, light control, buzzer, temperature alarm, and flash power.
Power Connection:
Connect the flash to an AC power source and turn on the power switch.
Modeling Lamp:
Short press the Modeling Lamp Button to cycle through OFF, PROP (automatic adjustment with flash power), and percentage modes (5%-100% adjustable brightness). In percentage mode, turn the SET Dial to adjust brightness. Long press the Modeling Lamp Button for 2 seconds to enable/disable automatic turn-off during flash firing. For safety, the modeling lamp automatically turns off after 4 hours to prevent overheating.
Power Output Control:
The SET Dial adjusts flash power from 1/64 to 1/1. The LCD displays the selected power. When "OFF" is displayed, the flash triggering function is off. Press the Test button to discharge power when adjusting from high to low.
Test Button:
Press to fire the flash without taking a picture. This helps adjust flash brightness when combined with the SET dial.
Sync Triggering:
The 3.5mm sync cord jack allows for synchronization with cameras or trigger devices.
GR/CH Button:
Short press adjusts the built-in wireless group (A-F, 0-9), while long press adjusts the built-in wireless channel (1-32). Turn the SET dial to change values when blinking.
Receiver Trigger Mode (S1/S2):
Press the S1/S2 button to select between:
- No optical control: S1 or S2 not displayed, receiver triggering off.
- Optical S1 Secondary Unit Setting: Flash fires synchronously with the main flash (manual mode), useful for multiple lighting effects.
- Optical S2 Secondary Unit Setting: Flash ignores a single "preflash" from the main flash and fires in response to the second, actual flash (manual mode), useful for cameras with pre-flash function.
Buzz Function:
Press the BUZZ button to toggle the sound reminder for ready flash. A "BI" sound indicates full charge.
Wireless Button:
Press the Wireless button to turn on/off the built-in wireless transmission. Wireless and channel indicators on the LCD panel confirm its status.
C.Fn Custom Settings:
- F1 (Wireless ID setting): Set to OF or choose 01-99 to enable/disable wireless ID.
- F2 (Flash power display): Display in 1/P or P.P.
Alarm Display:
- E0: Temperature sensor not connected.
- E3: Discharged capacitance and voltage > rating +10%.
- Alarm sounds: BIBI, ringing per 0.5 second. Press SET button to stop alarming.
Memory Function:
The device remembers panel settings 3 seconds after adjustment and restores them upon restart.

Maintenance Features
General Maintenance:
- Do not disassemble or modify the product. Send defective units to an authorized service center.
- Keep the device dry. Avoid handling with wet hands, immersion in water, or exposure to rain.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Ensure proper ventilation; do not block heat dissipation holes. Avoid use in flammable environments.
- The product uses a make-and-break device; ensure easy access.
- Avoid touching heating parts.
- Turn off power and wear insulated gloves before installing/connecting accessories or replacing the flash tube/modeling lamp. Ensure the tube is cool before handling.
- Do not flash directly into eyes, especially babies', to prevent visual impairment.
- Disconnect from power supply during extended non-use.
- Remove the flash head protection cover before use.
Specific Usage Cautions:
- After 50 continuous flashes at full power, cool down the flash before further use to prevent overheating.
- Avoid prolonged use of the modeling lamp, especially with flammable accessories like softboxes. A 10-minute limit is recommended, followed by a 1-minute cool-down.
- When using a snoot, do not keep the modeling lamp on for extended periods or fire too frequently (not over six times per minute) to prevent damage to the strobe housing.
- Avoid sudden impacts to prevent damage to the flash tube and/or modeling lamp.
- The luminaire is for professional use only.
- Replace damaged or thermally deformed lamps.
- Replace visibly damaged shields (cracks, deep scratches) that impair effectiveness.
Troubleshooting for Godox 2.4G Wireless Triggering:
- Signal Interference: If the device is in a strong 2.4G signal environment (e.g., wireless base station, 2.4G WiFi router, Bluetooth, etc.), try changing the channel ID (add 10+ channels) or turn off other 2.4G equipment.
- Incorrect Triggering: Ensure the flash has finished recycling and the continuous shooting speed is not too fast. If using TTL mode, ensure a pre-flash is needed.
- Distance Issues: If the trigger distance is too close or too far, try adjusting the "close distance wireless mode" on the flash trigger (X1, X2, XPro series: set C.Fn-DIST to 0-30m).
- Receiver End Equipment: If the receiver end equipment is in low battery status, replace the battery (1.5V disposable alkaline battery recommended).
Flash Tube Replacement:
Turn off the power, disconnect the power cord, and remove the flash tube. Wear insulated gloves. Loosen the iron wire on the tube, keep a balanced hold on the two feet of the flash tube, and pull out the old tube gently. Take down the feet casing from the old tube and put it on the new one. Hold two feet of the new tube, and target directly towards the two copper outlets, then push them slightly in. Twine the iron wire on the stainless steel sheet to fix the flash tube.
