The TL30 is a multifunctional RGB light that combines dual color temperature capabilities with high light brightness and wireless adjustment, making it suitable for various shooting scenarios.
The Godox TL30 is a constant light source that offers three primary operating modes: LED CCT mode, RGB mode, and a special effects mode. These modes allow users to achieve diverse lighting effects and adapt to different creative needs.
In LED CCT mode, the light provides adjustable color temperature ranging from 2700K to 6500K. This allows for precise control over the warmth or coolness of the light, mimicking various ambient lighting conditions. Users can fine-tune the color temperature by turning the select dial, with options for both normal (100-value) and quick (500-value) adjustments. Additionally, brightness can be adjusted from 0% to 100% using the DIM button and select dial, offering granular control over light intensity. The hue can also be adjusted from -50 to +50 in this mode, providing further color correction capabilities.
The RGB mode, also referred to as HSI mode, enables the creation of colorful lighting. In this mode, users can adjust the hue (H) from 0° to 360° and saturation (S) from 0 to 100. This allows for a full spectrum of colors to be produced, offering creative freedom for mood lighting, artistic effects, and color accents. Adjustments for both hue and saturation can be made in normal (1-value) or quick (10-value) increments using the select dial.
The Special Effects mode offers 13 categories divided into 37 distinct situational light effects. These effects are designed to simulate various real-world lighting scenarios, such as RGB cycle, flash, laser, lightning, broken bulb, TV, candle, fire, firework, police car, fire truck, ambulance, and SOS. Each category typically includes three variations (I, II, III) that differ in speed or intensity, allowing users to select the most appropriate effect for their scene. For example, the "Flash" effect can be set to slow, medium, or quick speed, while "Fire" offers firewood, campfire, and fire hazard variations.
The TL30 features a built-in lithium battery, providing approximately 1 hour of continuous lighting at 100% brightness when fully charged. It can also be powered directly via a USB Type-C cable. Charging the device takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes using a 5V/2A charger.
