Moisture or dryness in the corn can also slow popping cycles.

  If the kettle agitator shaft isn't rotating, don't pop corn. First, ensure the Kettle Motor Switch is ON. If it's on and the shaft remains still, the switch or motor might be defective. Contact qualified service personnel for inspection/repair. For kettles with a FIXED Stir Rod, verify the clearance between the shaft (with welded stir blade) and the kettle bottom; it should be at least 1/32” (1 mm). To adjust the shaft, see the Agitator Set Collar Adjustment section.
