What to do if Goodman GCES80 Furnace LED is flashing 1 time?
    • B
      Brandon PowellAug 12, 2025
If your Goodman Furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing once, it indicates a furnace lockout due to excessive ignition retries. This can be caused by a gas interruption. You should locate and correct the gas interruption. Also check the front cover pressure switch operation, including the hose, wiring, and contact operation, and correct if necessary. Other possible solutions include replacing or realigning the igniter, checking the flame sense signal (sanding the sensor if coated or oxidized), checking the flue piping for blockage, proper length, elbows, and termination, and verifying proper induced draft blower performance.

How to troubleshoot Goodman Furnace with no LED signal?
    • J
      Jason PeckAug 16, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module diagnostic LED provides no signal, ensure that there is 115 and 24 volt power to the furnace integrated control module. Check the integrated control module fuse (3A) and replace it if necessary. Check for possible shorts in the 115 and 24 volt circuits and repair as needed. A faulty integrated control module may also be the cause, so replace it if necessary. The cause may be a manual disconnect switch being OFF, door switch open, or 24 volt wires improperly connected or loose, or a blown fuse or circuit breaker.

What does 6 flashes mean on a Goodman Furnace?
    • J
      Julia JonesAug 20, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing six times, it could be due to flame rollout. Check the burners for proper alignment. Also, check the flue and air inlet piping for blockage, proper length, elbows, and termination, and correct as necessary. Check the rollout limit and replace it if necessary. Ensure the induced draft blower is performing properly, and replace it if necessary. The problem may also be due to misaligned burners, a blocked flue and/or air inlet pipe, or a failed induced draft blower. Check and correct any loose or improperly connected wiring. A short in the 24 volt AC control circuits or safety circuits, or a faulty rollout limit can also cause this issue. Tighten or correct any wiring connections.

Goodman GCES80 flashes 8 times, what does it mean?
    • M
      Michael PhillipsAug 23, 2025
If your Goodman furnace is not operating and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing eight times, check and correct the wiring from the integrated control module to the igniter. Replace the igniter if it is bad. Check and correct the unit ground wire. If the issue persists, replace the integrated control module. This may be caused by an improperly connected igniter, a bad igniter, a poor unit ground, a poor burner ground, or a faulty integrated control module.

What does 2 flashes mean on a Goodman GCES80 Furnace?
    • J
      Jack BestAug 27, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing twice, it could be due to induced draft blower pressure switch contacts sticking. In this case, replace the induced draft blower pressure switch. It could also be caused by shorts in the pressure switch circuit, which would require repairing the short.

Goodman Furnace flashes 11 times, what does it mean?
    • E
      Ebony BarnesAug 31, 2025
If your Goodman furnace is not operating and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing eleven times, check and correct the wiring from the integrated control module to the igniter. Replace the igniter if it is bad. Also, check and correct the unit ground wire. This issue may arise from an improperly connected igniter, a bad igniter, or a poor unit ground, or a poor burner ground.

Goodman GCES80 Furnace flashes 12 times, what should I do?
    • J
      Jasmine ZhangSep 3, 2025
If your Goodman furnace is not operating and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing twelve times, check and correct the wiring from the integrated control module to the inducer. Also, check for any blockage in the inducer and in the vent, and replace the inducer if necessary. Check and correct the unit ground wire. If the problem persists, replace the integrated control module. The cause may be improperly connected inducer, a bad inducer, a poor unit ground, or a faulty integrated control module.

How to fix Goodman GCES80 LED flashing continuously?
    • S
      Stephanie GutierrezSep 8, 2025
If your Goodman furnace fails to operate and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing continuously, review the wiring diagram to correct the polarity. Reverse the orange and gray wires going to the transformer. Verify proper ground. This issue arises when the polarity of the 115 or 24 volt power is reversed.
