Overview

This document provides a comprehensive guide for the Gorenje BO6725E02ABG built-in electric oven, covering its functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Gorenje BO6725E02ABG is a 60cm built-in electric oven designed for household use. It features various heating modes to accommodate different cooking needs.

Oven Functions and Operation:

  • Separate Oven Lighting: This mode switches on the internal oven light, useful for monitoring cooking progress or when cleaning the oven chamber.
  • Defrosting: This function utilizes the internal fan to rapidly and delicately thaw frozen foods.
  • Bottom Heater On: In this mode, only the bottom heating element is active, ideal for dishes requiring final baking from the bottom.
  • Bottom and Top Heaters On (Conventional): Both the upper and lower heating elements are active, providing conventional heating for even heat distribution within the oven.
  • Classic Heating + Fan: This mode combines the top and bottom heating elements with the fan, suitable for various baking recipes.
  • Combined Grill (Grill and Top Heater): This function activates both the infrared grill and the top heating element simultaneously. It creates a higher temperature at the top of the cooking area, resulting in more intense browning and is suitable for grilling larger portions.
  • Fan and Combined Grill On: This mode combines the infrared grill, top heating element, and the fan. It speeds up the grilling process and enhances the taste of the dish. This function should only be used with the oven door closed.

Control Elements:

The oven is controlled via three knobs on the control panel:

  1. Oven Function Selection Knob: Used to choose the desired cooking mode.
  2. Temperature Control Knob: Sets the desired temperature for the chosen function.
  3. Timer: Allows setting a cooking duration up to 120 minutes. The oven will stop and an audible signal will sound when the set time expires. A manual operation mode is also available, allowing the oven to operate without a time limit.

Indicators:

  • Red Temperature Regulator Signal Light: Illuminates when the oven is heating up and turns off when the set temperature is reached.
  • Yellow Function Operation Signal Light: Indicates that the oven is currently operating.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power Rating: max. 2.9 kW
  • Cooker Dimensions (H/W/D): 59.5 / 59.5 / 53.0 cm
  • Usable Capacity of the Oven: 73 liters
  • Weight: Approx. 30.0 kg
  • Oven Light Bulb: 230V, 25W, G9 type, high-temperature resistant (300°C).

Usage Features

Before First Use:

  1. Remove all packaging and clean the interior surfaces of the oven.
  2. Remove and wash all oven fittings (trays, shelves) with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid.
  3. Ensure proper ventilation in the room by opening a window or turning on a fan.
  4. Heat the oven to 250°C for approximately 30 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues. Afterwards, wipe away any stains with a damp cloth.
    • Important: Only warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid should be used to clean the internal surfaces.

Energy Saving Tips:

  • Avoid frequently opening the oven door unnecessarily.
  • Switch off the oven a few minutes before the cooking time ends to utilize residual heat. For cooking times exceeding 40 minutes, switch off 10 minutes prior to completion.
  • Use the oven primarily for larger dishes. Smaller meat portions (up to 1 kg) can be cooked more economically on a hob.
  • When using the timer, set the shortest appropriate cooking time as per the recipe.
  • Ensure the oven door is tightly closed to prevent heat leakage. Clean any spillages on the door seals immediately.
  • Avoid installing the oven directly next to refrigerators or freezers, as this can increase energy consumption.

Fast Oven Heat-up:

  • Use the "Classic Heating (Top + Bottom)" mode. The oven can reach 150°C in approximately 4 minutes.
  • During fast heat-up, no food or equipment (trays, shelves) should be inside the oven.
  • It is not recommended to set the timer during fast heat-up.

Grill Usage:

  • The grilling process uses intense heat from the infrared heater.
  • Always keep the oven door closed during grilling.
  • Accessible parts of the oven may become hot; keep children away.

Safety Precautions:

  • Ensure adjacent panels are made of heat-resistant material (up to 100°C for veneered cabinets).
  • Keep combustible materials at least 0.9 meters away from the oven.
  • Do not block ventilation or circulation ducts.
  • Connect the oven to a properly grounded 220-240V electrical outlet with ground fault protection. Avoid extension cords.
  • Do not operate the oven with a damaged power cord or plug.
  • Do not add cold water directly to hot food or trays in a hot oven, as this can cause steam burns and damage the enamel.
  • Do not lift the oven by the door handle.
  • The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised or instructed. Children should be supervised and not allowed to play with the appliance.

Maintenance Features

Regular Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Always switch off the oven and ensure all knobs are set to "•"/"0" before cleaning. Allow the oven to cool completely.
  • Use mild cleaning agents or emulsions for fat removal. A solution of warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid or stainless steel cleaner is also suitable.
  • Clean the oven interior after each use, especially when visible dirt is present.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers on the oven door glass to avoid scratching and shattering.
  • Do not use a steam cleaner.

Steam Cleaning:

  1. Pour 250 ml of water into a bowl and place it on the lowest level of the oven.
  2. Close the oven door.
  3. Set the temperature to 50°C and the function knob to "Bottom Heater" mode.
  4. Heat the oven for approximately 30 minutes.
  5. Open the oven door and wipe the chamber with a cloth or sponge using warm water and washing-up liquid.
    • Caution: Some water may collect under the cooker as a result of steam cleaning.
  6. After cleaning, dry the oven chamber walls.

Replacing the Oven Light Bulb:

  • To avoid electric shock, disconnect the appliance from the power supply before replacing the bulb.
  • Ensure all control knobs are set to "•"/"0" and unplug the oven.
  • Unscrew and remove the lamp cover, then unscrew the old bulb.
  • Replace with a new high-temperature bulb (300°C) with the following specifications: 230V, 25W, G9.
  • Screw the new bulb firmly into the socket and replace the lamp cover.

Removing the Oven Door:

  1. Open the oven door fully.
  2. Lift the hinge latches.
  3. Slowly close the door until it rests against the latches. While holding the door by its sides, lift it up and pull it out to remove it from the hinges.
  4. After cleaning, insert the hinges into their slots, push the door forward and down to ensure the hinges are securely in place.

Removing the Inner Glass Panel:

  1. Press the grid on both sides with both hands and pull it out.
  2. Pull out the grid.
  3. Remove the inner glass panel.
  4. After cleaning, carefully place the glass back into the door and insert the ventilation grid to secure the glass in place.

Troubleshooting:

  • Appliance not working: Check the fuse box. If a fuse is blown, replace it.
  • Oven light not working: The bulb may be loose or burnt out. Tighten the bulb or replace it as described in the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section.
  • In case of any other technical fault, disconnect the power and contact an authorized service center.
