Proper use
❐ The device is designated for toasting bread.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and / or knowledge if they are
supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and have understood the
risks associated with operating the device. Children may not play with the device. Children
may not clean or perform user maintenance of the device unless they are 8 years of age or
older and are supervised.
❐ Keep children under 8 years of age and pets away from the device and the connection line.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
Risks of injury
❐ ATTENTION Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and
animals.
❐ ATTENTION Risk of burn! Keep clothing such as scarves, shawls, ties and long hair away
from the device.
❐ ATTENTION Risk of burn! When operating the device, the temperature of the contact
surfaces may be very high. The device is thermally insulated; nonetheless, high temperatures
occur in the area of the toasting slots during use, which may result in burns. Only touch the
thermally-insulated control elements. Only move the device once it has cooled off.
Fire hazard
❐ Do not use the device if easily ammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Bread and baked goods in toasters can catch re. For this reason, be sure to completely
empty the crumb tray on a regular basis.
