Switch off your Schwalbe
and remove the key from the
ignition. Wait 60 seconds.
Connect the power cable to
the charger.
Connect the charging cable
to the Anderson plug in
your Schwalbe. You will find
the Anderson plug in the
compartment under the seat.
Plug the power cable into
the socket and switch on the
charger by pressing the I/O
push button. Charging will
start within 5 seconds.
Give your Schwalbe the power it needs
YOUR SCHWALBE IS EQUIPPED WITH AN EXTERNAL BOSCH AC/DC 48 V BATTERY CHARGER.
The LED light on the charger indicates the current status of the charging process:

YELLOW LIGHT:
Standby - the unit is waiting
for the BMS to react (The
unit checks if the batteries
are connected).
RED FLASHING:
48 V battery fault (e.g.
if the battery is fully
discharged)
YELLOW FLASHING:
Charging in progress.
0%≤ SOC<75%
RED LIGHT:
Charger defective
GREEN FLASHING:
Batteries are almost
charged.
75%≤ SOC<100%
ALTERNATING RED/
YELLOW:
Error during charging (e.g. 48 V
batteries have a different SOC,
which means they are charged
sequentially and not in parallel).
GREEN LIGHT:
Batteries are
fully charged
GREEN LIGHT & CHARGER
SHUTS DOWN:
The charging process cannot be
started for temperature reasons,
the charger switches off. The 48 V
batteries are not charged in this
case because, for example, the
batteries have to cool down.
