How to fix low flow rate on my GPI EZ-8 Water Pump?
    • C
      Carl WarnerAug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing a low flow rate with your GPI Water Pump, start by checking if the fuel tank is empty and fill it. Next, inspect the strainer for partial clogs and clean it as needed. Also, examine the suction pipe for any clogs or damage, removing the pump from the tank to inspect and clean or replace the pipe. Ensure the suction pipe has at least 1/2 in. (1.2 cm) clearance from the bottom of the tank. Check for system air leaks by tightening all pump fittings and connections, and inspect the suction pipe for leaks or damage, replacing parts as necessary. Lastly, ensure electrical connections are secure and check the battery voltage to rule out poor connections or low voltage.
