Usage Features

Getting to Know Your Machine: The dishwasher features an upper dish basket with a shelf, guide rails for the upper basket, a salt container, cutlery basket, detergent dispenser, door, control panel, filters, lower sprayer arm, lower basket, upper sprayer arm, and housing. Some models may include a turbo fan heat drying system.

Initial Setup: Before first use, it is crucial to fill the salt container with 1 litre of water and then approximately 2 kg of special dishwasher salt. A washing program should be started immediately after filling the salt to prevent damage from spilled salt solution. The rinse aid dispenser should also be filled with rinse aid, and the dosage can be adjusted based on watermarks or streaks on dishes.

Detergent Usage: Only detergents specifically formulated for dishwashers should be used. The manual recommends avoiding chlorine and phosphate-containing detergents for environmental reasons. Powder detergents should be used for short programs without pre-washing, while tablet detergents are suitable for programs with pre-washing and high temperatures, provided the detergent box lid is closed firmly. Multipurpose detergents (2in1, 3in1, 4in1, 5in1) can be used, but users should follow the manufacturer's instructions and ensure salt and rinse aid compartments are full if switching from these to individual products.

Loading the Dishwasher: Dishes should be loaded with openings facing downwards to prevent water collection. Dishes and cutlery should not be placed above each other, and glasses should not touch. Long and sharp items should be placed horizontally in the upper basket. The lower basket is for plates, bowls, and pots, while the upper basket is for dessert plates, cups, and glasses.

Basket Features:

  • Folding Plate Support Rods (Lower Basket): Four or two folding rods (depending on the model) allow for flexible loading of saucepans and large bowls.
  • Bottle Holder (Lower Basket): Available on some models for cleaning bottles.
  • Variable Cutlery Basket: Can be separated into three parts and sections can be placed in the upper basket. It includes an inset for better water flow.
  • Movable Cutlery Basket: Slides left and right for flexible dish placement.
  • Basket Insert with Variable Height Settings: Can be used in the lower basket for glasses and long-handled cutlery/utensils, and can be folded away when not needed.
  • Upper Basket with Variable Height Setting: Equipped with a lifting mechanism to adjust height even when fully loaded. The height can be adjusted by pulling upwards (to lift) or pressing a lever and lowering (to descend).
  • Height Setting with Empty Basket: For models with wheels mounted at two different heights, the basket can be removed and re-inserted at the desired height.
  • Folding Tines (Upper Basket): Allow for more space for glasses or cups and can be folded down.
  • Glass Support: For securing glasses or goblets with long stems.
  • Upper Basket Drawer: For additional small cutlery items like dessert spoons, small forks, and knives.
  • Rack: Height can be adjusted depending on the size of glasses and cups.

Program Selection and Operation: The control panel includes an On/Off button, Start/Pause/Cancel button, display, program selection button, Half Load button, Delayed Start button, handle, program indicator, salt indicator, and rinse aid indicator.

  • Program Selection: Programs are selected using the program selection knob, and the program number is displayed.
  • Half Load Function: Reduces water and energy consumption when the machine is not fully loaded.
  • Delayed Start Function: Delays the program start by up to 9 hours in 1-hour increments.
  • Program Steps Follow-up: Indicators for washing, drying, and end of program.
  • Canceling/Changing a Program: Programs can be canceled by holding the Start/Pause/Cancel button for three seconds. A running program can be paused to change the selection, and the new program will resume from the previous step.

Salt and Rinse Aid Indicators: The display shows indicators for salt and rinse aid levels. These should be refilled when the warning lights appear. The rinse aid indicator can be set to "ON" or "OFF" via a specific button sequence.

Starting the Machine: Before starting, ensure the mains plug is connected, the tap is open, the door is closed, impellers rotate freely, detergent is added, and salt/rinse aid levels are sufficient. Select the program and start. The door should not be opened while the machine is running due to hot water/steam.

After the Program: The End of Program indicator will light up. Turn off the machine, close the tap, unplug, and leave dishes for about 15 minutes to cool and dry more effectively with the door ajar.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning the Dishwasher: Regular cleaning ensures longer product life and reduces problems.

  • Exterior and Door Seals: Use a gentle household cleaner.
  • Control Panel: Clean with a moist cloth and clear water.
  • Filters: Clean regularly. Remove the lower basket, turn the coarse filter to the right, pull out the main filter, press the tongues of the coarse filter to remove the micro filter, and wash all parts under running water with a brush if necessary. Reassemble by twisting clockwise until it clicks. The dishwasher should not be operated without correctly installed filters.
  • Spray Arms: Regularly check and clean the nozzles to prevent blockages from dirt or calcium residue. Remove the lower spray arm by pulling upwards. Loosen the fastening screw of the upper spray arm and pull it off. Wash under running water and replace, ensuring fastening screws are tight.
  • Filter Inset in Water Inlet Hose (depends on model): Check and clean periodically. Close the water tap, unscrew the hose, take out and clean the filter under running water, replace the filter, and fasten the hose to the tap.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance for common issues such as the dishwasher not running (check plug, fuses, water supply, door, On/Off button, water intake filter) and unsatisfactory cleaning results (disorderly placement, incorrect program selection, blocked impellers, clogged/misplaced filters, clogged impeller holes, overloading, unsuitable/inadequate detergent). It also addresses drying issues, tea/coffee/lipstick stains, lime stains/hazy look, metallic look/bluish rainbow color, glass corrosion, scratches/breaks in glassware, rusts/blackening/corruption of surface, detergent residue in dispenser, water remaining after washing, and odors.

Disposal: Packaging materials are recyclable (PE, PS, POM) and should be disposed of according to local regulations. Used appliances should not be disposed of with regular household waste but taken to designated collection points for electrical and electronic equipment recycling. Before discarding, disable the appliance by pulling the mains plug, cutting the power cord, and disabling door locks.
