    • J
      Johnny OlsonAug 5, 2025
If the pilot light comes on but the main burner of your GRAND EFFECTS Outdoor Fireplace doesn't, first check if the main gas solenoid is energizing. If you can't confirm this, replace the ignition module. If the main burner solenoid is buzzing or shows signs of overheating, it may need to be replaced.

Why does my GRAND EFFECTS 100 burner keep going on and off?
    • G
      Gabriela MurrayAug 11, 2025
If your GRAND EFFECTS Outdoor Fireplace burner goes on and off, check the following: * If wind is the reason for this issue, rotate the burner assembly so the wind isn't blowing across the pilot. * If you are using glass, make sure you are using an open pilot hood and that the glass is thinned down on the burner assembly. Also, remove rock/glass away from pilot area. * Remove all rock/glass from the burner assembly to see if the problem disappears. * Ensure that the gas pressure isn't too low and the main burner isn't adjusted too low, as this can cause an unstable pilot. * If the burner shuts off after 30 minutes and doesn't come back on, replace the ignition module.

    • D
      Dustin BryantAug 16, 2025
If the main burner of your GRAND EFFECTS Outdoor Fireplace isn't lighting and there's no spark, start by removing any rock or glass from the pilot area that might be obstructing it. If there's still no spark, check that you have 12VAC coming out of the panel and reaching the burner. If voltage is going to the burner but there's no spark, replace the ignition module. If there's no voltage coming out of the panel, replace the transformer.

What to do if GRAND EFFECTS 100 has spark but no pilot?
    • J
      Joseph BowmanAug 22, 2025
If your GRAND EFFECTS Outdoor Fireplace has a spark but no pilot light, first, remove any rock or glass from the pilot area. Next, check if gas is coming out of the pilot (you should be able to hear it, or use a BBQ lighter to check). If there's no pilot gas, ensure the gas is turned on. If it is on, the pilot orifice may be plugged, requiring replacement of the pilot assembly. If there's still no gas, the pilot valve might not be opening; turn off the gas and see if the pilot solenoid is energizing. If it's not energizing, replace the ignition module; if it is, the valve may be dirty or not opening, requiring gas manifold replacement.

      Ryan CampbellAug 28, 2025
