If the engine
fails
to
start
on the first
attempt,
turn
key
to
the
"OFF"
position,
wait a
few
minutes
and try
again.
Do
not operate
starter
continuously
for
more
than 30 seconds.
Always
aIlow
engine
to warm
up
before apnlying
Ioad.
In
below
freezing
weather,
allow
engine
to
run at a
fast
idle
for
a
period
of
at
least
five
minutes
before
moving the
tractor
or starting
the attachment.

I. Move the
Gear
Selector
Lever
to the
"NEUTRAL"
position.
5.
Disengage
the
PTO
Control.
Enqage
Parking
Brake
Lock
by depressing
the
Brake
Pedal
and
pulling
up
on
the
Parking
Brake
Lock.
Lower
Attachment
to the
ground.
Lower Throttle-Choke
Control
Lever
and a1low
the
enqine
to
idle for
a
short
period
of
time.
DO NOT STOP
A HOT
ENGINE
AT
HIGH SPEED
AS INTERNAL
ENGINE
DAMAGE COULD
RESULT.
Turn
ignition
key counterclockwise
to the
"OFF"
position
to stop
the engine.
BE CAREF'UL:
REMOVE
IGNITION
KEY BEFORE
LEAVING
TRACTOR.
THIS
WILL
PREVENT
CHILDREN
AND INEXPERIENCED
OPERATORS
FROM STARTING
THE
TRACTOR.
3.4 Operating:
1.
Start
the
engine
using
the
procedure
explained
in
Section
3.3.
NOTE:
The Gear
Selector
Lever
must
be in the
I'NEUTRAL'!
position,
the
PTO
control
in the
"OFF"
position,
and the
operator
on
seat
to start
the
engine.
2.
Release
Parking
Brake
Lock
by depressing
the
Brake
or
Clutch
Pedal
(Figure
1)
until
the
lock
disengages.
