2.6 PTO
Control:
The
PTO
Control
is
used
to
operate the
attachments.
Push
the lever
forward
to
engaqe
the clutch
and
drive the attach-
ment.
Pul1 the
lever
rearward to
disengage
the clutch
and
stop the
attachment.
The
lever
must be in
the rear
(
"oFF"
)
position
to
start
the
engine. THIS
IS A
SAFETY
FEATURE.
The enqine
will
not
start
until
the lever
has
been
placed
in
the
"oFF"
position.

Lever:
The
Gear
Selector
Lever
is
used
to select
any
of
forward
gears
or
one reverse
gear.

Clutch
Pedal:
Depressing
the
Clutch
pedal
disengages
the
transaxle
from
the engine
and
permits
shifting
the
gear
selector
to
any

Always
release
the
cl-utch
pedal

smooth
aiceleration.
Do not allow
foot
to
rest
on
pedal
except
when
clutching.
IIvIPORTANT:
Always
depress
clutch
pedal
to
ease
engine
starting.
Depressing
clutch
pedal releases
parking
brake.
Be ready
to
depress
brake
pedal when
starting
from
park
position.
Brake
Pedal:
Depressing
the
brake
pedal
aOplies
pressure
to
the
disc
nrate and
stops
the tractor
(with
the
clutch
depressed).
Be
sure to
depress
clutch
pedal
to
disengage
the clutch
before
braking.
