Hours
Check Mower Blades Check mower blades for wear. Sharpen or replace as
needed.
See Carbon Canister Filter on page 28.

Hours
Check Air FIlter Check air filter for dirt. Clean as required. Follow
Engine Manual for maintenance schedule.
Lubricate Unit Oil all pivot points and pin connections. Grease lube
fittings. See below.
Check Brake Gap Adjust gap if necessary. See Adjusting the Parking
Brake on page 35.

Hours
Clean Battery Keep battery and its terminals clean. See Clean
Battery on page 30
.
Clean engine cooling
system
Check and clean cooling fins and inside the engine
shrouds to remove grass, chaff or dirt.
Check Fasteners Check mower blade mounting hardware and all other
fasteners. Replace missing or damaged fasteners.
Tighten all nuts and bolts to their correct torque value.
Check Belts Replace worn or deteriorated belts. See Replacing
Mower Belts on page 36 and Replacing the Hydro
Pump Belt on page 37.

Change Hydraulic Fluid
and Filter

Drain hydraulic fluid tank, replace hydraulic oil filter,
refill system. See Hydraulic Fluid on page 27.

Service front caster
assemblies
Disassemble, clean, inspect and repack front caster
spindle assemblies.
Lubricate Caster Fork
Bearings
1. Shut off unit, wait for all moving parts to stop,
remove key and engage parking brake.
2. Remove grease cap.
3. Remove plug and install grease fitting.
4. Apply grease to the fitting until new grease
appears at the top of the upper bearing.
5. Remove the grease fitting and reinstall the plug.
6. Reinstall the grease cap.
Lubricate Caster Wheel
Bearings
1. Shut off unit, wait for all moving parts to stop,
remove key and engage parking brake.
2. Remove wheel from fork.
3. Remove end caps from wheel hub.
4. Apply grease through fitting until grease
squeezes through the seal in the wheel hub.
5. Wipe off excess grease.
6. Reinstall end caps onto hub.
7. Reinstall wheel info fork. After tightening bolt, tire
should not have any side-to-side play. Tighten bolt
until there is a slight amount of drag on the wheel
bearing. The wheel should not freewheel when
spun.
*Change hydraulic fluid and filter after first 75 hours of operation.
