CONTROLS AND FEATURES

OPERATION

EMERGENCY STOPPING

Procedure for stopping the unit immediately: neutral levers, parking brake, PTO off, ignition off.

BEFORE OPERATING UNIT

Check fuel, oil, air cleaner, safety interlock system, and set cutting height before starting.

OPERATE UNIT

Release parking brake, set throttle, engage PTO, move steering levers to begin mowing.

STOP THE ENGINE

Procedure to stop the engine: neutral levers, parking brake, PTO off, slow throttle, ignition off.

MAINTENANCE

SERVICE POSITION

Park on a flat surface, stop engine, chock wheels, engage parking brake, and rotate seat forward.

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Schedule of service tasks based on usage hours: check systems, clean, lubricate, replace filters and parts.

METERS AND CHECKS

Includes Hour/Maintenance Meter, Safety Interlock System check, Parking Brake check, Engine Oil check, and Tire Pressure check.

CHECK MOWER BLADES

Check blades for wear. Replace or sharpen as needed. Use caution and protective gloves.

SHARPEN BLADES

File or grind an equal amount from each cutting edge. Do not change edge angle. Balance blades before reinstalling.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

Includes checking hydraulic oil level and performing oil/filter changes.

CHANGE HYDRAULIC OIL AND FILTER

Warm oil, drain, replace filter, refill oil, and purge the system to remove air.

PURGE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

Operate engine and move steering levers to remove air from the hydraulic system.

SERVICE & ADJUSTMENTS

ADJUST LIMITER BOLTS

Adjust limiter bolts to increase/decrease drive wheel speeds. Loosen jam nut, turn bolt, tighten jam nut.

ADJUST UNIT TO DRIVE STRAIGHT

Check tire pressures. Adjust to recommended pressures. Increase pressure on side unit moves toward.

ADJUST TRANSAXLES

Operate engine, check hubs for rotation. Adjust neutral position if excessive rotation occurs.

ELECTRICAL SERVICE

REPLACE MOWER BELTS

REPLACE TRANSAXLE DRIVE BELT

ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER

REMOVE AND INSTALL MOWER DECK

LEVEL AND PITCH MOWER DECK

Adjust Blade Pitch

TROUBLESHOOTING

STARTING AND RUNNING ISSUES

Covers engine not starting, running rough, or overheating. Check fuel, battery, air filter, oil, and engine.

POOR CUTTING QUALITY

Diagnose poor cut quality by checking blade level/pitch, sharpness, speed, belt tension, and cutting height.

BLADES DO NOT STOP WITHIN 5 SECONDS

Check clutch brake plates for wear. Reverse or replace clutch if necessary.
