Owners Manual
1. Turn the unit OFF and remove it from your neck.
2. Spray a small amount of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol
directly onto the Grille and into the Purication Output
Nozzle, which are the plate and round opening on the top
of the unit. Allow to work in for 30 seconds.
3. Use canned air or blow into the top of the unit to dislodge
the particulates which adhere to the ionizer electrode.
4. Vacuum the Purication Output Nozzle and
Air Intakes
A buzzing noise is not uncommon and is caused by
contamination on the ionizer electrode. This can typically be
stopped by a quick blast of air from your mouth or from
canned air into the top of the unit. Regular cleaning and
maintenance should also be followed as some contaminants
require the use of alcohol to remove.
To maintain proper operation, and avoid damage to the unit,
please follow all cleaning instructions on the next page.
CAUTION: Sticking anything into the Purication Output
Nozzle (the round opening in the grill) will permanently
damage the emitter, rendering the unit useless and will void
the warranty.
CAUTION: Avoid using any liquid (besides isopropyl or
rubbing alcohol) to clean the unit. Getting your unit’s
internal components wet will permanently damage the unit,
rendering it useless and will void the warranty.
This unit requires no maintenance, other than the
suggested monthly cleaning. If you are experiencing any

Overview

The pureAir SOLO is a personal air purification device designed to provide clean air in your immediate breathing space. It's a compact and portable unit, ideal for individual use.

Function Description

The pureAir SOLO utilizes ion density technology to purify the air. It emits 50 million ions per cubic centimeter (ions/cc) to neutralize contaminants in your personal breathing zone. The device is designed to be worn around the neck, ensuring a centered placement for optimal performance and complete coverage of your breathing space. It has a very low ozone output, less than 0.03 parts per million (ppm), complying with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 ppm by volume in a 24-hour period, making it safe for continuous personal use.

  • Weight: 2.22 oz (64g)
  • Battery Type: Rechargeable Lithium
  • Battery Life: Up to 28 hours after a 5-hour charge
  • Charging Cable: Micro USB (Wall plug not included)
  • Accessory: Breakaway Necklace
  • Ion Density: 50 Million ions/cc
  • Ozone Output: Less than 0.03 ppm

Usage Features

The pureAir SOLO is designed for ease of use and portability.

  • Wearing: The device comes with a breakaway necklace. To use, simply place the necklace through the Necklace Clip located on the back of the unit. For best results, it's recommended to wear it around your neck rather than clipping it to clothing, ensuring it's centered to effectively cover your breathing space.
  • Power On/Off: A single Power Button on the back of the unit controls its operation. Pressing it turns the unit ON or OFF.
  • Operation Indicator: The unit's operation may not always be immediately noticeable. To confirm it's working, you can raise it to your face to feel a slight breeze emitting. If you only see the blue light and feel no breeze, it might indicate a need for maintenance.
  • Charging: The device is charged via a Micro USB cable. With the unit in the OFF position, connect the supplied Micro USB cable to the Charging Port on the bottom of the unit, and the other end to a wall charger or powered USB port. The Power Button will illuminate red during charging and turn green once fully charged.
  • USB Supply Source: The product should only be operated with specific supply sources, including information and communication technology equipment or a Class 2 Power Unit.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the pureAir SOLO to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Suggested Cleaning: The unit requires minimal maintenance, primarily a suggested monthly cleaning.
  • Troubleshooting: If you experience technical issues, it's recommended to visit the GreenTech Environmental website and submit a contact form or call their support line at 1-800-957-1136.
  • Addressing Buzzing Noise: A buzzing noise is a common indicator of contamination on the ionizer electrode. This can often be resolved by a quick blast of air from your mouth or from canned air directed into the top of the unit.
  • Cleaning Instructions:
    1. Turn Off and Remove: Always turn the unit OFF and remove it from your neck before cleaning.
    2. Apply Alcohol: Spray a small amount of isopropyl or rubbing alcohol directly onto the Grille and into the Purification Output Nozzle (the plate and round opening on the top of the unit). Allow it to work for 30 seconds.
    3. Dislodge Particulates: Use canned air or blow into the top of the unit to dislodge any particulates adhering to the ionizer electrode.
    4. Vacuum: Vacuum the Purification Output Nozzle and Air Intakes to remove loosened debris.
  • Important Cleaning Cautions:
    • Nozzle Damage: Do not insert anything into the Purification Output Nozzle, as this can permanently damage the emitter, rendering the unit useless and voiding the warranty.
    • Liquid Restriction: Avoid using any liquids other than isopropyl or rubbing alcohol to clean the unit. Getting internal components wet with other liquids will permanently damage the unit, rendering it useless and voiding the warranty.
  • Warranty: The pureAir SOLO comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in material and workmanship under normal household use. The warranty is granted to the original purchaser and immediate household members. It does not cover damage from negligence, abuse, unauthorized service, or use not in accordance with the Owner's Manual. GreenTech Environmental will, at its option, repair or replace a defective unit. To obtain warranty service, return the defective unit with proof of purchase to a GreenTech Authorized Warranty Station. The purchaser is responsible for all transportation charges.
