Problem
The grease pressure indicator
signifies a malfunction (con-
tinues to display red)
All grease points are too dry,
while the grease pressure
indicator does not indicate a
problem. (displays green).
All grease points are recei-
ving too much grease.
One or more grease points
are too dry, while others
receive the correct amount of
grease.
A grease point receives too
much grease.
Cause
1 Grease cartridge empty.
2 Metering unit leaks
nternally.
3 Defective grease pressure
indicator
4 Defective pump.
1 Brake-counter not set
correctly (number of brake
commands set too high).
2 The grease used is not
suitable for the current
operating conditions (tem-
perature too low).
3 The pump receives no
compressed air from the
air tank.
4 The pump receives no sig-
nals via the brake com-
mand air line.
Brake-counter not set cor-
rectly (number of brake com-
mands set too low).
1 Grease pipe leaks.
2 Incorrect metering unit
installed (amount of grea
se too small).
3 Defective metering unit.

Solution
1 Replace the cartridge.
2 Check whether a grease
point receives an excess of
grease. Replace the mete-
ring unit that serves that
grease point.
3 Repair or replace it.
4 Repair or replace it.
1 Set the brake-counter
correctly (see the System
Manual).
2 Replace the grease cartrid-
ge with one that contains
the correct type of grease.
3 Check the pressure in the
air tank. Check the opera-
tion and adjustment of the
safety valve. Check the air
line between air tank and
pump unit.
4 Check the air-line between
the pump unit and the
relay valve. Check the res-
triction - in the coupling of
that air-line on the relay
valve - for contamination.
Set the brake-counter cor-
rectly (see the System
Manual).
1 Repair or replace it.
2 Replace the metering unit
with one that supplies
more grease.
3 Replace the metering unit
with one of the same type.
1 Replace the metering unit
with one that supplies less
grease.
2 Replace the metering unit
with one of the same type.
