Installing the Receiver
Use the transmitter to check the range of the receiver before permanently mounting it.
Consider the following when mounting the receiver:
•Standardreceivercablelengthis10feet(receiverswithalongercableareavailableas
specialorderitems;call the GTO Sales Department).NEVERsplicereceivercable!
•Run the cable through PVC conduit to protect it from damage.
•DONOTruncablethroughmetalconduitbecausethereceiversignalrangewillbe
decreased.
•DONOTruncableinconduitcontainingacwiring.
•Thereceiverrangecanvaryfrom50to100feetdependinguponweather,topography,
and external interference.
•DONOTmountupsidedown.
•DONOTmountonmetalfenceorpost;doingsowilldecreasesignalrange.
•MOUNTsothatyouhavelineofsightbetweenremotetoantenna.
•MOUNT3feetawayfromACvoltage.
•MOUNTashighaspossibleforoptimumrange.
