The Gyroor G13 is a recreational hoverboard designed for personal transportation, offering a unique and engaging riding experience. Before using the G13, it is crucial to read and understand the safety instructions and warnings provided in the user manual to minimize risks of injury or damage. The device is intended for riders aged 6 and older, with a recommended weight range of 44-176 lbs (20-80 kg) and a height of over 4 ft (121 cm). Always wear an approved helmet and other protective gear to ensure safety.
Function Description
The G13 hoverboard operates on a self-balancing mechanism, allowing riders to control movement by shifting their body weight. It features a stereo Bluetooth speaker for entertainment during rides, an LED lamp for visibility, and an ON/OFF switch for power control. The device is powered by a battery, which requires charging via a dedicated charging port. The hoverboard is designed for use on flat, paved surfaces, packed dirt, and slopes less than 10 degrees, with a typical range of 3.75-7.75 miles (6-12 km) and a maximum speed of approximately 7.75 miles (6-12 km/h).
Usage Features
First Ride and Learning:
For new users, the G13 is initially in an unactivated state and will beep occasionally after power-on. It is essential to activate the device and follow the New Rider Tutorial before the first ride.
- Preparation: Go to a large, open area and have a friend assist you.
- Mounting: Lightly place one foot on the foot mat, keeping the other foot on the ground to support your weight. Avoid pressing the steering bar with your leg.
- Balance Mode: Slowly transfer your weight onto the G13. The unit will beep, indicating it has entered Balance Mode. Then, slowly step on with your other foot.
- Stance: Stand with your weight evenly distributed on both feet, relax, and look straight ahead.
- Movement Control: Gently lean your body forward to move forward and backward to move backward.
- Turning: To turn, gently lean left or right against the steering bar.
- Dismounting: Always step off from the back of the G13.
Safety Guidelines:
- Helmet and Protective Gear: Always wear an approved helmet and other protective gear.
- Riding Environment: Avoid public roads, motorways, highways, or streets. Do not ride in areas with children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles, bicycles, or other obstacles. Respect pedestrians and yield the right of way.
- Surface Conditions: Do not ride in snow, rain, or on wet, muddy, icy, or slippery roads. Avoid riding over obstacles like sand, loose gravel, or sticks, as this can lead to loss of balance or traction.
- Speed and Control: Maintain a moderate speed (2-6 mph or 3-10 km/h) when traversing small bumps or uneven terrain, keeping knees bent. Do not accelerate or decelerate suddenly. Do not override the speed limiter; the G13 will tilt back or sound an alarm if exceeding safe speeds.
- Rider Capacity: The G13 is designed for one rider only. Do not ride double or carry passengers or children.
- Awareness: Be alert and scan both far ahead and in front of your G13 to safely avoid obstacles and low traction surfaces.
- Slopes: Avoid slopes steeper than 15 degrees. For payloads greater than 176 lbs (80 kg), avoid slopes steeper than 10 degrees.
- Water: Do not ride through puddles or other bodies of water.
- Stunts: Do not attempt stunts of any kind, jump, or lift the G13 by the fenders when it's turned on, as this can cause pinching or injury.
Bluetooth Speaker:
To connect the Bluetooth speaker, open your phone's Bluetooth settings and search for "Wheel-music." If you cannot find the device, restart the hoverboard or your phone. If issues persist, try another smartphone or contact customer service.
Calibration and Alarms:
- Calibration: If the G13 moves forward or backward on its own on flat ground, it needs calibration. To calibrate, ensure the hoverboard is off and pedals are parallel to the horizontal plane. Press and hold the power switch for 5 seconds until you hear a sound. The red light (running and left turn indicators) will flash 3 times, then remain solid, indicating calibration is complete. Turn the device off and on again.
- Self-Balance Adjustment: To manually adjust self-balance, place the hoverboard horizontally, ensure it's on, press the power switch for about 6 seconds until a beep is heard, then restart the hoverboard.
- Alarms:
- Overheating: If the internal temperature exceeds 122°F (50°C) due to extended riding, the glow lights will flash red, an alarm will sound, and charging will be disabled. Step off, power off, and allow the G13 to cool down.
- Speeding: Riding at excessive speeds will trigger a lift alarm. Adjust your speed settings in the app.
- For other alarms, restart the G13. If problems persist, contact customer service with a video and order number.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning and Storing:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, wet cloth to wipe the mainframe. For stubborn dirt, use a toothbrush and toothpaste, then wipe with a soft, wet cloth. Scratches on plastic parts can be polished with extra-fine grit abrasive paper.
- Prohibited Cleaners: Do not use alcohol, gasoline, acetone, or other corrosive/volatile solvents, as these can damage the G13's appearance and internal structure. Do not use a power washer or high-pressure hose.
- Before Cleaning: Ensure the G13 is powered OFF, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber cap on the charge port is tightly sealed to prevent electric shock or damage to electronic components.
- Storage: Store the G13 in a cool, dry place. Avoid storing it outdoors for extended periods, as exposure to sunlight and extreme temperatures can accelerate the aging of plastic components and reduce battery life.
Battery Pack Maintenance:
- Charging: Charge the battery after each ride and avoid completely draining it. A fully charged battery typically retains charge for 60-90 days in Standby Mode. Complete drainage can cause permanent damage and will not be covered by the Limited Warranty.
- Temperature: Do not store or charge the battery outside the stated temperature limits. Optimal performance is at room temperature (70°F or 22°C). Performance and range may decrease at temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
- Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble the battery, as this poses a risk of fire and contains no user-serviceable parts.
- Disposal: Refer to local laws and regulations for battery recycling and disposal.
General Maintenance:
- Pre-Ride Check: Before each ride, check for loose fasteners, damaged components, and low tire pressure. If the G13 makes abnormal sounds or signals an alarm, stop riding immediately.
- Parts and Accessories: Use only G13-approved parts and accessories. Modifications to the G13 can interfere with its operation, cause serious injury or damage, and void the Limited Warranty.
- Charging Safety: Use a surge protector when charging to protect against power surges and voltage spikes. Only use the supplied G13 charger. Do not use a charger from any other product.
- Steering Bar: Do not sit on the steering bar, as this can result in serious injury or damage.
