To resolve this, turn the battery switch OFF, disconnect the voltage selector before connecting the clamps, ensure the selected voltage corresponds to the vehicle’s battery voltage, and verify the correct polarity on the battery.

Also, ensure that the selected voltage corresponds to the voltage of the vehicle’s battery.
