Flushing of motor case
The Compact motors have very high total effi ciency, and they are now frequently used in applications
with high power. To avoid high tem pe ra tu re in the motor case the heat must be cooled away, because

high temperature gives lower viscosity and that
gi ves reduction in basic rating life. Low viscosity
also gi ves reduced permitted out put power from
the motor.
- For continuous duty in applications with an
ambient temperature of +20°C (68°F), the
motor case must be fl ushed when the output
power exceeds the values shown below.
