  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan isn't effectively clearing the room, it might be due to insufficient airflow intake. Ensure a door or window is slightly ajar to allow air to enter, as the fan needs adequate airflow to draw from. Also, check that the CFM rating of the fan matches the requirements for your room size. It is also good to keep venting the house and the electric bill is minimal (approximately less than $10 per year).

  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan seems louder than expected, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the CFM rating of the fan is appropriate for your room's square footage. Check the damper to confirm it opens and closes correctly; if damaged, contact Customer Service. Avoid sharp bends in the duct closer than 18 inches to the fan discharge, and use the recommended ducting size to minimize noise. Also, make sure the fan body is securely attached to the ceiling joists.
