How to fix a noisy HAMPTON BAY Fan?
    • X
      xrubioAug 7, 2025
A noisy fan can be disruptive, but here's what you can check: * Ensure all motor housing screws are snug. * Verify the screws attaching the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight. * Make sure wire nut connections aren't rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior wall. Allow the fan a 24-hour 'breaking in' period, as most new fan noises disappear during this time. If you're using a light kit, ensure the glassware screws are tight and the bulbs are secure. The canopy should be a short distance from the ceiling, not touching it. Finally, confirm your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and the outlet box.

Why is my HAMPTON BAY Fan wobbling?
    • E
      eduardorileyAug 27, 2025
Fan wobble can occur for several reasons. First, ensure all blade and blade arm screws are secure. Most wobble issues arise from unequal blade levels. To check this, measure the distance from a point on the ceiling to the center of each blade, ensuring any deviation is within 1/8 inch. Run the fan for ten minutes. If the fan continues to wobble please contact Customer Service and a balancing kit will be sent to you at no charge.
