Why does the needle thread keep breaking on my handi quilter HQ18 Avante?

The needle thread may break on your Handi Quilter Sewing Machine due to several reasons. It could be caused by using poor quality thread, thread that is rotted or brittle, or unbalanced top and bobbin tensions. Ensure you're using quality thread and check the thread tension in both the top and bobbin. Also, check that the machine is threaded correctly and inspect for particles in the tension discs, removing any fuzz or debris. Other causes include a bobbin that doesn't rotate smoothly (change the bobbin), a burred, bent, or dull needle (change the needle regularly), or a needle not suited for the thread (replace it).
