Chlorine/pH/Iron LR/Hardness
Light Source Light Emitting Diode @ 555 nm
Method For pH, Phenol red method. The reaction be-
tween pH and the reagent causes a red tint in
the sample.
For Chlorine, adaptation of the EPA recom-
mended DPD method 330.5. The reaction
between chlorine and the reagent causes a pink
tint in the sample.
For Iron, Adaptation of the TPTZ Method. The
reaction between iron and the reagent causes a
blue tint in the sample.
For Hardness, adaptation of the Standard Meth-
ods for the Examination of Water and
Wastewater, 18
th
edition, Calmagite/colorimet-
ric method. The reaction between hardness and
reagents causes a maroon tint in the sample.
