CAUTION
Risks when handling the
appliance
Risk of burns!
During its use, the device and its ex-
posed parts can become hot.
Please avoid touching the heating el-
ements.
Children aged 8 years or younger
must be kept away from the device,
unless they are under constant super-
vision.
Do not touch hot parts. Always pro-
tect hands with oven gloves or pot
holders when working on the hot
appliance. Only use dry oven gloves
or potholders. Wet textiles are bet-
ter heat conductors and can cause
steam burns.
Hob:
Do not store items that could be of
interest to children in the storage
space above or below the hob. Chil-
dren could be encouraged to climb
on the hob.
Do not leave pot/pan handles stick-
ing out over the edge of the work-
top; this ensures children cannot
reach up and pull down the cook-
ware.
Metallic objects such as knives,
forks, spoons and lids should not be
placed on the hotplate since they
can get hot.
The cooking zones get very hot dur-
ing operation and will remain hot
after they are switched off; this is
shown by the residual heat indica-
tor.
If a power failure occurs, the resid-
ual heat indicators will go out and
may not indicate the presence of
residual heat.
Always switch off the cooking
zones/areas yourself if you wish to
stop a cooking process. Cancelling
the cooking time limit does not end
the cooking process itself.
Allow the cooking zones to cool
completely before cleaning.
Exception: Remove sugary or
starchy residues, plastic or alumin-
ium foil from the hot glass ceram-
ic immediately using a standard
sharp scraper. While doing so pro-
tect hands from burns with oven
gloves or pot holders.
Oven
Never pour water directly into the
hot oven. The steam can cause
scalding and damage the enamel.
Allow hot water from the oven to
cool before pouring it out.
Never leave the oven unattended
while grilling. Keep children away!
Allow the oven to cool completely
before cleaning.
