The power could be off, or a fuse might be blown, so ensure the power is on and check the fuse. There could also be a faulty wire connection; in this case, turn the power off, loosen the canopy, and check all connections. Finally, the plugs might not be connected properly; verify that the wire nuts from the fan and receiver to the outlet box are correctly connected.

If the fan is too close to a vaulted ceiling, use a longer downrod or move the fan. Also, check that the set screw(s) on the motor housing yoke and the hanging ball are tightened properly.
