Confirm the microphone is properly connected to the mixer or amplifier. 4. Check that all cable connectors are securely seated. 5. Inspect the cable for any damage and replace it if necessary. 6. If applicable, switch phantom power on and, again, check the cable. 7. If the microphone uses batteries, make sure they are correctly inserted and not dead.
