B. F ire Characteristics
A properly adusted re has a medium active ame pattern
that extends out of the burn pot approximately inches
(152mm).
C. F eed R ate Adj ustment Instructions
The feed adustment control is factory set at #, and should
be adequate for most fuels.
However, if the flame height is too high or too low, you will
need to adust the feed rate. Wait until the appliance has been
burning for 15 minutes before making your adustments and
a
llow 15 minutes for feed adustment to take effect.
A. Starting Y our F irst F ire
1. A room sensor is required for proper operation of this
appliance in Room Temp mode. At this time, ll the
hopper with pellets, insure the control is set to O.
igure .2. Plug the power cord into a properly grounded,
nearby outlet.
2. Once power is present, the unit it will run through a quick
diagnostics test to insure the control is operating properly.
This is normal.
. or your rst re it may be necessary to purge the auger
system by putting the feed aduster knob to Test prior
to starting the unit. igure .. This insures that plenty of
fuel enters the burn pot for proper ignition.
. lip toggle switch to desired mode auto or manual. igure
.. Set feed aduster knob to desired setting and turn
mode dial to Room Temp or Stove Temp igure .5.
Note: eed rate of # is a good starting point. Adustments
made need to be made depending on fuel quality andor
heat output desired.

The fuel feed system and the igniter should
now
be on.
. Once the appliance has ignited, let it burn for approximately
7-10 minutes. After this time the unit should begin to
operate per the settings at the control.
