The CUE frequency is a single channel frequency that allows a radio not in a
SINCGARS FH net to contact the MASTER station of the SINCGARS FH net.
• Press the CALL button
• Select CUE; the screen changes to the CUE channel.
• Place the Cipher switch to PT
• Press the PTT button for about 5 to 10 seconds. A slow beeping will be heard
in the handset.
• Return the Cipher switch to CT and wait for the Master station to respond.
• Request a Cold Start ERF from the Master station.
• When instructed to prepare for receipt of a Cold Start ERF on the Manual
frequency, press the CLR button.
• Select COLD START ERF
• Enter the Manual Frequency; the radio displays COLD START ERF AWAITING
RECEPTION.
