Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ig-
nition,suchasapilotlight.Toreducetheriskofserious
personal injury, never use any cordlessproductin the
presenceofopenflame.Anexplodedbatterycanpropel
debrisandchemicals.Ifexposed,flushwithwaterim-
mediately.
Do not crush, drop or damage battery pack. Do not
use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or
receivedasharpblow.Adamagedbatteryissubjectto
explosion.Properlydisposeofadroppedordamaged
batteryimmediately.
Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the
battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets,
andkeys.Thebatteryorconductor mayoverheatand
causeburns.
For best results, your battery tool should be charged in
a location where the temperature is more than 50°F but
lessthan100°F.Toreducetheriskofseriouspersonal
injury,donotstoreoutsideorinvehicles.
Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery
leakagemayoccur.Ifliquidcomesincontactwithyour
skin, wash immediately with soap and water, then neu-
tralizewithlemonjuiceorvinegar.Ifliquidgetsintoyour
eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes,
thenseekimmediatemedicalattention.Followingthisrule
willreducetheriskofseriouspersonalinjury.
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or
excessivetemperature.Exposuretofireortemperature
above265°Fmaycauseexplosion.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the
battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature
rangespecifiedintheinstructions.Chargingimproperly
or at temperatures outside of the specified range may
damagethebatteryandincreasetheriskoffire.
Have servicing performed by a qualified repairperson
usingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.
This will ensure that the safety of the product is main-
tained.
Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the
battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the
instructionsforuseandcare.
Store idle appliances indoors When not in use, edger
should be stored indoors in a dry, locked place out of the
reachofchildren.
Keeptheairventscleanandfreeofdebristoavoidover-
heatingthemotor.Cleanaftereachuse.
Stop the unit and disconnect the power source when not
inuse.Carrytheunitwiththemotorstopped.
Don’t grasp the exposed cutting edges when picking up
orholdingtheappliance.

grease.
