Use this edger foredgingalongsidewalks,driveways,
flowerbeds,andsimilarareas.Donotuseforanyother
purpose.
Bethoroughlyfamiliar withthe controls.Know how to
stoptheunitanddisengagethecontrolsquickly.
Donotusetheedgeronorneargraveledsurfaces.
Makeyourselffamiliarwiththeareayouareedging.Be
awareofunevensidewalksandholesintheterrainaswell
asothersimilarhazardousconditions(example:wireor
wire rope which can break off and become a dangerous
projectile).Alwayspushtheedgerattachmentslowlyover
roughground.
Donotattempttoremovecutmaterialnorholdmaterial
to be cut when the motor is running or when the cutting
bladeismoving.
A coasting blade can cause injury while it continuesto
spinafterthemotorisstoppedorthrottletriggerreleased.
Maintain proper control until the blade has completely
stoppedrotating.
Check blade nut for tightness before operating the
attachment.
Improperassemblycancreateadangeroussituation.
Neverstandorhaveanypartofyourbodyinlinewiththe
pathoftheedgerblade.
Iftheedgerstrikesanytypeofforeignobject:
a) Stop the edger and remove the spark plug wire or
disconnectfromthepowersupply.
b) Inspectfordamagetotheedgerattachment.
c) Correctdamagebeforeusingtheedgerattachment.
Failuretodosocancauseseriousinjury.
Alwaysstopmotorandremovethebatterybeforeattempt-
ingtoremoveanyobstructioncaughtorjammedinthe
blade,installingattachment,ormakinganyadjustments.
Savetheseinstructions.Refertothemfrequentlyanduse
themtoinstructotherswhomayusethisproduct.Ifyou
