Section 1: Temperature Control
Your Haskris will have one of three different types of controller. Use table 1-1 to identify the relevant controller.
The controller may appear different than examples. Contact Haskris if you are not sure what type you have.
Adjust supply temperature while under heat load.
Allow 15-30 minutes for the supply temperature to stabilize after an adjustment.
Consult a dew point chart to select a supply uid temperature that will minimize condensation.
If no heat load is applied, the unit may “over-cool”.

Section 1: Temperature Control

ON/OFF Cycling Control

Controller maintains temperature by cycling refrigeration ON/OFF using a set point and differential.

Parametric Control

Refrigeration runs continuously to maintain steady supply fluid temp under steady heat load.

Refrigeration runs continuously to maintain steady supply fluid temp under steady heat load.

Section 2: Indicator Lights

ON/OFF or Power Indicator

Unit's ON/OFF status indicated by a green light or the temperature controller illumination.

Liquid Level Indicator

Lights indicate liquid level sufficiency, 'FULL' status, or 'Liquid Level Low' condition.

Liquid Temperature Fault Indicator

Indicates liquid temperature is above or below the alarm set points.

Refrigerant Pressure High or Building Water Fault Indicator

Indicates high refrigerant pressure or building water fault due to insufficient cooling.

Refrigerant Pressure Low Indicator

Indicates low refrigerant pressure, possibly a leak, or normal startup condition.

Section 3: Strainers

Nylon Suction Strainers

Nylon suction strainers prevent pump damage from debris in the tank and require regular checks.

Brass Wye Strainers

Brass wye strainers in piping have a removable screen that can be cleaned periodically.

Section 4: Filters

Supply Line Particle Filters

Supply line particle filters capture debris and are replaced when pressure rises significantly.

Section 5: Drain Line

Drain Hose and Valve

Units include a drain hose connected to the tank bottom, some with a plastic valve.

Section 6: Water Quality and Treatment – Indoor Units

Maintaining Water Quality

Periodically inspect tank water clarity and drain/replace water to maintain quality.

Flushing the System

Flush system with hydrogen peroxide solution for biological growth or debris accumulation.

Additives

Use sodium bicarbonate to raise pH or propylene glycol for biological growth as a last resort.

Section 7: Water Quality and Treatment – Outdoor Units

Additives

Use a mixture of distilled water and glycol for outdoor operation to resist freezing.

Maintaining Water Quality

Periodically change glycol solution, check pH (7-10), and refractometer for percentage.

Wye Strainer

Clean the wye strainer on the return fluid connection during glycol changes or pressure increases.

Section 8: Bypass Pressure Relief Valve

Valve Setting Procedure

Procedure to adjust bypass pressure setting by restricting supply line and turning adjustment screw.

Section 9: Refrigerant Sight Glass and Moisture Indicator

Sight Glass and Moisture Indicator

Indicator helps identify low refrigerant or contamination; should be clear and 'DRY'.
