Operation and Maintenance
Haskris LX-Series, R-Series, WW-Series, OPC-Series
Section 1: Temperature Control
Your Haskris will have one of three different types of controller. Use table 1-1 to identify the relevant controller.
The controller may appear different than examples. Contact Haskris if you are not sure what type you have.
Adjust supply temperature while under heat load.
Allow 15-30 minutes for the supply temperature to stabilize after an adjustment.
Consult a dew point chart to select a supply uid temperature that will minimize condensation.
If no heat load is applied, the unit may “over-cool”.

Summary

Indicator Lights

ON;OFF or Power Indicator

Some units have a green light indicating the unit's ON/OFF status.

Liquid Level Indicators

Indicates liquid level sufficiency, or 'FULL'/'Liquid Level Low' status.

Liquid Temperature Fault Indicator

Indicates liquid temperature is above or below the alarm set points.

Refrigerant Pressure High or Building Water Fault

Indicates high refrigerant pressure or building water fault.

Refrigerant Pressure Low Indicator

Indicates low refrigerant pressure, possibly due to a leak.

Water Quality and Treatment - Indoor Units

Maintaining Water Quality

Periodically inspect tank for clarity and debris. Drain and replace water yearly.

Flushing the System

Flush system for biological growth, pH change, or debris using hydrogen peroxide.

Additives for Water Quality

Add sodium bicarbonate to raise pH; use propylene glycol for persistent growth.

Water Quality and Treatment - Outdoor Units

Additives for Outdoor Units

Requires potable distilled water and glycol mixture to resist freezing.

Maintaining Glycol Solution Quality

Change glycol periodically, check pH (7-10) and glycol percentage.

Wye Strainer Maintenance

Clean wye strainer on return fluid connection during glycol change.

Bypass Pressure Relief Valve

Valve Setting Procedure

Procedure to adjust bypass pressure setting by turning an adjustment screw.

Maintenance Checks Schedule

Schedule for Maintenance Checks

Perform checks every 2 weeks for 3 months post-installation, then 1-2 times yearly.
