The HEDBOX RP-DC50 is a dual LCD battery charger designed for DV Li-Ion batteries, offering advanced power charging technology for use at home, in a studio, or in a car. It supports charging 3.6V, 7.4V, or 14.8V Li-Ion DV battery packs.
The RP-DC50 features a dual charging port, allowing simultaneous charging of two batteries, even if they have different voltages, capacities, or manufacturing brands. It employs dual charging technology (CC and CV) for high battery charging efficiency. A pre-charging function with 0V activation helps extend battery life. The charger also includes a USB-A power output (5V ~ 2A/10W) to charge other USB devices.
The device incorporates an advanced MCU Micro-Computer Chip control system that fully manages the charging process. It has passed MBTR 5000H testing, ensuring reliable quality.
The RP-DC50 offers two charging modes: NORMAL and BOOST. When the charger is turned on, the default mode is NORMAL, providing 500mA per slot for simultaneous charging of two batteries. To speed up the charging process, users can activate BOOST mode by pressing the RED button on the top of the charger. In BOOST mode, the charger provides 800mA per battery slot for simultaneous charging of two batteries, or 1.5A for a single battery. The LCD display will show a "boost ICON" when this mode is active.
The LCD screen monitor provides a clear, accurate, and precise display of power status, charging status, battery channel status, and the boost power mode. It features a bright blue backlight for readability in the dark.
The charger is compatible with exchangeable battery charger plates (purchased separately), allowing it to be used with various Hedbox Battery Packs and other World brand battery models. The charger automatically sets the charging voltage and current for the designed battery pack.
For in-car use, a 12V - 24V DC power source (such as a car charger cable) can be used. Specific Hedbox battery charger plates like RP-DBPU, HED-BP75D, HED-BP95D, RP-BPA60 (charging HED-A60), or any other 14.4V battery require an RP-DC50 with 24V DC Power Supply.
The RP-DC50 includes several safety protections:
The device is designed for indoor use only and should not be placed or used in high-temperature and high-moisture environments. Users should avoid dropping or bumping the device to prevent damage to electrical components. Children should use the charger under adult supervision.
When the battery is fully charged or the charging process stops, the rechargeable battery should be removed from the charger slot. It is normal for the unit to feel warm during use.
Users are advised to read the manual carefully before operating the unit and to ensure that the DV Battery pack is compatible with the RP-DC50's power voltage and current. The battery charger plate must firmly lock the battery in place. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect use or operation. Disassembling or opening the cover is not recommended under any circumstances to avoid danger and potential damage to the charger.
