Connecting a USB cable
This product provides a USB connection for printer and data storage device
communication. For more information on USB communications, refer to the
ND 1202T TOOL-CHEK Operating Instructions.
To connect a USB printer or data storage device:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position.
 Insert a printer USB (type A) cable or a USB data storage device into the products USB
port.
Connecting a foot switch or remote keypad
This product provides an RJ-45 foot switch/remote keypad connection for use with a
HEIDENHAIN foot switch (ID 681041-01) or HEIDENHAIN remote keypad (ID 681043-01).
To connect an RJ-45 foot switch/remote keypad cable:
 Verify that the power switch is in the off position.
 With the cable connector locking tab aligned with the connector, insert the cable
connector into the interface connector until the tab locks into place.
