Activating and deactivating collision monitoring
In some cases it is necessary to temporarily deactivate collision
monitoring:
To reduce the distance between two objects monitored for
collision
To prevent stops during program runs
NOTICE
Danger of collision!
If the Dynamic Collision Monitoring (DCM) function is inactive,
the control does not perform any automatic collision checking.
This means that movements that might cause collisions will
not be prevented. There is a danger of collision during all
movements!
Make sure to activate collision monitoring whenever possible
Make sure to always re-activate collision monitoring after a
temporary deactivation
With collision monitoring deactivated, carefully test the NC
program or program section in the Program run, single block
operating mode
Permanently manually activating and deactivating collision
monitoring
Operating mode: Press the Manual operation or
Electronic handwheel key
Shift the soft-key row if necessary
Press the COLLISION soft key
Select the operating modes for which the
modification should apply:
Program run: Positioning w/ Manual Data
Input, Program run, single block and
Program run, full sequence
Manual operation: Manual operation and
Electronic handwheel
Press the Go to soft key
Select the condition for which the selected
operating modes should apply:
Inactive: Deactivate collision monitoring
Active: Activate collision monitoring
Press the Ok soft key
