The Inflatable Diamond Grid
(IDG) is a self-supporting
airframe inspired by the
molecular structure of a
diamond. Its design principle
follows that of a geodesic
dome. What sets it apart is its
high stability and its excellent
surface-area-to-volume ratio.
THE CAVE DESCRIPTION P.NR.
The airbeams feature a
resistant, double-layer
construction. An airtight TPU
(thermo-plastic polyurethane)
bladder provides consistent
air pressure over long periods
of time. The jacket is made
of extra-strong polyester
fabric, ensuring outstanding
stiffness and durability.
The patented Multi Chamber
Safety System allows the
entire IDG frame to be inflated
in a single step. Once inflated,
the frame can be divided into
five separate chambers by
our one-pump connectors,
assuring stability even in the
case of damaged parts. All
parts of the IDG can be easily
repaired or replaced.
The IDG features five 2-in-
1-valves, each with two
closures: a non-return valve
for quick and simple inflation
of the airframe and a large
opening for letting out the air
easily. So putting up the tent
and taking it down is easy.
Tensioning options: 2 in
1 – guy ropes and bases loop
only need a single stake!
Thanks to practical tension
and toggle fastenings, the
tent is firmly secured on all
four sides in no time – without
a messy tangle of cords,
and with the outer and inner
tent safely separated. This
ensures that The Cave stays
perfectly steady and dry –
even when it’s stormy and
pouring outside!
Ventilation: Five closable
air vents ensure perfect
circulation from bottom to
top. It means condensation is
never a problem, even in the
worst conditions.
Flexibility: The tent is
designed in such a way that
the frame and inner and outer
tent can be set up in a single
step (inflation). But the inner
and outer tent can also be
used separately.
