What does it mean when the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Storage power button has been pressed, the blue power supply LED is lit, and green power supply LED is off?
    • K
      Kelly FordSep 9, 2025
The blue LED is lit when the power supply is plugged into a good outlet. The green LED is lit when the power supply is producing good power, so you should replace the power supply.

What to do if neither application software nor operating system detects the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Storage tape drive?
    • R
      Raymond WeaverAug 23, 2025
First, verify that all SAS cables are securely connected on both ends. Also, ensure that the mini-SAS connector on the tape drive is keyed at location four, which is the standard location for end devices; a cable with a connector keyed in a different location probably will not work. Check the length and integrity of your SAS cabling, and inspect the SAS connectors for any damage or debris. Confirm that your HBA is supported by the host computer and qualified with the library, and that your HBA has the latest firmware.

How to fix Hewlett Packard Enterprise Storage tape stuck in drive?
    • A
      Amanda ScottAug 25, 2025
First, attempt to unload the tape from your backup software. If that doesn't work, shut down the backup software and stop the operating system's removable storage services. As a last resort, power down the unit, disconnect the cable from the drive, power up the unit, and wait until the tape drive is idle or ready. You can also try a force eject or emergency unload operation from the OCP.

What to do if the screen shows No Link on Hewlett Packard Enterprise StoreEver MSL2024?
    • M
      mrodriguezAug 27, 2025
The speed is probably set incorrectly. Try setting the speed to Automatic (on the RMI interface) or Auto Detect (on the OCP). If there are still issues, change the port type to Auto Detect.
